David McCarthy named Realtor of the Year, representing the Greater Boston Association of Realtors and Keller Williams Real Estate
WALTHAM, Mass. - September 18, 2020 - The Massachusetts Association of Realtors® (MAR) annually awards the Realtor of the Year Award to acknowledge the volunteerism, civic engagement and outstanding achievements on the local and national levels. This year, David McCarthy, broker and operating partner of Keller Williams Realty was awarded the honor.
David McCarthy represents the Keller Williams offices in the Back Bay, Beacon Hill and The South End neighborhoods of Boston, Brookline, Framingham and Newton and has had an active role in the association for more than 20 years, serving on the Greater Boston Association of Realtors Board of Directors for seven years and as the director for the Massachusetts Association of Realtors. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Realtors.
In 2018, McCarthy was inducted to the RPAC Hall of Fame for his years of support of NAR’s Political Advocacy efforts as an RPAC Golden R Major Investor. Additionally, he served as MAR Director-At-Large and as a Massachusetts RPAC Trustee, while also serving as a member of the MAR Executive, Finance, Leadership Development, and Professional Standards Committees. Additionally, in 2015 David served as President of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors.

He is an elected member of Town of Canton Planning Board serves on the Community Preservation Committee and recently served as the chairperson of the Town of Canton’s Master Plan Steering Committee
The Realtor® of the Year recipient is selected annually from among the nominees of the 13 local associations of Realtors® and more than 25,000 Realtors® in Massachusetts. The award is judged based on volunteerism to the Realtor® organization on the local, state, and national levels, service to the local community, and business accomplishments.
