Mansfield, Massachusetts, November 15, 2021 - ENE was honored to be invited and sign-on as a partner to the Residential Cold Climate Heat Pump Challenge hosted by U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Grandholm and her Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy. We were also joined locally by Secretary Kathleen Theoharides and Commissioner Patrick Woodcock. ENE has officially signed-on as a participant on behalf of our municipal utilities and will be working to pilot a program to test heat pumps in extreme cold weather temperatures, ensuring that the efficiency and effectiveness of the manufacturers’ claims are met. Today’s event kicked off this exciting opportunity for our MLP’s and their customers to have another tool in the toolbox to utilize greener technology.
