Massachusetts Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Coalition members will join Massachusetts Senator Ed Markey at a virtual press conference on Wednesday, December 8 to reinforce our call for Congress to ensure that a permanent pathway to citizenship is included in the final Build Back Better legislation.

Immigrant advocates have worked tirelessly to support this legislation and its journey through reconciliation. The inclusion of a citizenship pathway represents a fundamental and critical component of this legislation, one that cannot be separated from its larger goals of spurring economic growth, justice, and inclusion.

The event is free to attend and open to the press — registration is online via Zoom. Our community speakers will deliver their remarks in English as well as Portuguese, Haitian Creole, and Spanish, respectively.

Please contact Karissa Hand at khand@miracoalition.org with any questions or inquiries before the event; there will be a Q&As for press following Senator Markey's remarks and at the end of the event.
